An agent can now open a Fikra API account for a human, mint a key, fund the wallet and hand over a claim link. The account works across every paid endpoint, not only chat.

What an agent can do

With one delegated token, an agent can call the full account surface:

  • Chat completions, streaming and non-streaming, on every listed model.
  • Image generation through Seedream on BytePlus ModelArk.
  • Video generation through MiniMax-H3 on Engy.
  • Speech to text and text to speech.
  • Embeddings.
  • Batch jobs: upload a JSONL file, create a batch, poll it, download results.
  • Fixed-price jobs: extract an invoice, summarise a contract, screen a CV.
  • Usage, balance, key management and budgets.

The same token authenticates all of them. There is no separate signup step for the human before the work starts.

Payments

Three ways to fund the account, default $10, minimum $1. Anything above $100 needs an explicit confirm.

  1. Checkout link. The agent gets a Paystack URL and sends it to the human. Card or M-Pesa, any device.
  2. M-Pesa prompt. The agent sends the human's phone number and Paystack pushes an STK prompt to the phone. The human approves it and the wallet credits. This runs entirely in the terminal, no browser.
  3. Saved card. After the human claims the account and saves a card, the agent can charge it directly, capped at $100 per day.

Saved M-Pesa numbers are reused, so a repeat top-up does not need the number again.

The claim link

A provisional account belongs to the agent until the human claims it. The claim link lets the human set a password and take ownership. Agent tokens expire after six hours and can be refreshed or revoked from the dashboard.

Limits

  • Agent-created accounts start at $0. There is no signup credit.
  • Card charges by an agent are capped at $100 per day.
  • Agent tokens carry explicit scopes and can be revoked account-wide.
  • Card data never reaches the agent or Fikra. Paystack holds it.
