Fikra API now exposes its task-oriented capabilities over MCP alongside its existing inference API. The change adds fixed-price tools for documents, contracts, recruitment, creator work, developer debugging and meetings, all reachable from any MCP client with the same account and the same billing.

What is live

  • MCP server at https://api.fikraapi.co.ke/v1/mcp (alias /mcp), JSON-RPC over HTTP.
  • 48 fixed-price tools with free price discovery through tools/list and GET /v1/products.
  • Account and billing tools: account, balance, usage, receipts, key listing, key revocation, key budgets, tool catalogue and tool prices.
  • The existing inference tools remain: chat, quote, model listing, invoice extraction, contract summarising and CV screening.
  • The same tools are available over REST at /v1/products/{id}.
  • A public tools directory at /tools and an MCP integration page at /integrations/mcp.

What did not change

The Agent for Humans lifecycle is unchanged. Agents still create a provisional account, receive a scoped six-hour token, mint keys, fund the wallet and hand a claim link to the human. Prices for existing tools are unchanged. The inference endpoints and response shapes are unchanged.

Billing

Every fixed-price tool returns its price before execution and charges only on success. Each call records a usage row and a receipt id. Free discovery calls never charge. Wallet, delegated token and x402 payment paths continue to work.

Availability

MCP-compatible clients work today. Google Connected Apps is a separate distribution channel and is not yet submitted for review. We do not claim Google approval or partnership.
