We collect information you directly provide to us when creating an account, as well as data collected automatically through your use of the service:

• Account Information: Email address, name, and securely hashed passwords.
• Financial Data: Processed entirely by our payment partners (e.g., Paystack). We do not store full credit card numbers or raw M-Pesa PINs on our servers.
• Usage & Sessions: We use cookies and JSON Web Tokens (JWT) to manage authenticated sessions. We log API request metadata (timestamps, token counts, model used) strictly for billing purposes.

2. Zero Data Retention for Prompts

Fikra API operates a strict Zero Data Retention policy regarding your AI workloads. We do not store, log, or train on the prompts you send to our API or the responses generated. Data is processed in memory during inference and immediately discarded.

3. Third-Party Subprocessors

To provide our services, we share necessary operational data with verified third-party infrastructure providers. By using our service, you consent to data processing by the following partners:

• Infrastructure & Hosting: Render, HostAfrica, Cloudflare
• Database & Auth: Supabase
• Inference Hardware: Groq
• Payments: Paystack (M-Pesa/Card processing)
• Communications & Code: Resend (email), Google, GitHub, PyPI

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your active session, remember your UI theme preferences (light/dark mode), and protect against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF). We do not use invasive tracking pixels or sell your behavioral data to advertisers.
